The Hancock Woman's Club
    Hancock, New Hampshire

Welcome to the Hancock Woman's Club founded on February 4, 1922 by Mary Pietersz Higgins.
The Hancock Woman’s Club is open to all woman in the Monadnock Region.  We currently have a membership of over 100 women from all backgrounds who bring our Club a diversity of  interests and talents.

Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 2:00, October to May in the town's Vestry.  Each meeting begins with a business meeting where members are encouraged to contribute ideas and opinons. This is followed by an informative and/or entertaining program. Afterward members enjoy time socializing and greeting new members and guests. A Tea Committee prepares tantalizing treats that encourage people to linger and enjoy. Visitors are always welcome.

But we are not only a social organization, we are also dedicated to community service.  We help beautify the town with stunning flower boxes and beds and each year we adorn the town’s gazebo for Christmas. Every Christmas we sponsor a fundraising Christmas Concert. Bi-annually we hold a major fundraising event.  In 2009 we held a Historic Homes and Summer Gardens Tour and in July 2011 we held A Taste of Hancock, A Kitchen Tour and Culinary Fair on Historic Main StreetMany local charities and our Annual Scholarship for local woman seeking opportunities for career advancement or change benefitted from these events.
